National Rebuilding Day Overview
National Rebuilding Day is a national movement which encompasses a month-long effort that culminates on the last weekend in April at Rebuilding Together affiliates across the nation. It comes to life when companies, schools, faith-based organizations, civic groups, associations, and community groups mobilize to make an impact on the lives of low-income homeowners in need!
Each affiliate hosts volunteer teams that set out to make the home repairs needed to create safe and healthy living environments for some of our community’s most vulnerable residents. At Rebuilding Together Montgomery County, we coordinate project teams to serve roughly 20-25 households during this massive volunteer effort.
All of the work we do on this weekend is done at no cost to recipient families. Funds to support the event are raised through sponsorships, donations, and in-kind gifts of materials and labor.
If you are interested in participating in NRD either as a volunteer, a skilled tradesman, or as a recipient homeowner, please contact Nelson Nguyen today at (301)-947-9400 x109.
NRD Engagement Opportunities
Group Sponsoring & Volunteering
National Rebuilding Day comes to life when companies, schools, faith-based organizations, civic groups, associations, and community groups mobilize to make an impact! By sponsoring a project, your organization is also reserving up to 30 volunteers spots for National Rebuilding Day. You tell us a little bit about your group preferences and RTMC will find and match you with a family in need that can benefit from your volunteerism. We’ll train your team to plan and execute a project and serve as a technical resource as you work with your recipient family to provide life-saving and life-altering repairs.
If you are part of a group that is sponsoring a home this year, contact your House Captain who will provide you with information about how to signup as a volunteer. If you do not know who your House Captain is, please contact Nelson Nguyen at (301) 947-9400 x109 or by email at email@example.com.
While corporate and volunteer-group sponsorships help cover the costs of construction materials, there are other expenses that bring this transformative weekend to life. By sponsoring National Rebuilding Day, you are helping to cover expenses such as dumpsters, port-a-potties, and paid labor that is sometimes required for tasks that require skilled work. If you can’t volunteer but want to be a part of the NRD buzz, we invite you to consider our Buzz and Naming Rights Sponsorship opportunities!
Feel free to contact Aaron Gonzales at 301-947-9400 x101 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
