START A MOVEMENT

Corporate organizations are invaluable partners for Rebuilding Together Montgomery County. We offer many opportunities to engage with us. By partnering or sponsoring RTMC, businesses can give back to their community while providing their employees and volunteers an experience that builds teamwork, develops leaders, and models their mission in action.

National Rebuilding Day

National Rebuilding Day is our biggest volunteer engagement opportunity, accounting for one-third of our total repair & renovation projects completed each year. Held annually on the last weekend in April, National Rebuilding Day is the culmination of a year of planning, training, organizing, and mobilizing hundreds of community volunteers and sponsors to repair and renovate multiple homes throughout Montgomery County.

The homes are sponsored by local businesses, civic groups, faith-based organizations, schools, and associations. In partnership with RTMC, these groups gather volunteers, develop scopes of work, plan and execute dozens of large-scale home repair projects.

Corporate Give-Back Days

Corporate Give-Back Days are held throughout the year to engage the business community in service. These service projects support the businesses in a variety of ways, including: team building, strengthening the corporate brand, and aligning philanthropic investments with strategic business goals. Led by RTMC staff, Corporate Give-Back Days provide businesses and their employees a meaningful way to connect to their communities.

Host a Drive

Host an internal corporate drive to help collect items Rebuilding Together uses on home rebuilds and for their clients throughout the holidays. Items can include tools, home goods, and gift cards for stores such as Home Depot, Ace Hardware and other similar home goods stores.

Rebuilding Hope: The RTMC Playhouse Project

Every other year, RTMC hosts a playhouse fundraiser in which local builders create unique playhouses to be displayed at The Shops at Wisconsin Place for a month, and then auctioned off live at a reception.

In addition to the auction, there are multiple marketing and promotional opportunities including Community Day at the Shops at Wisconsin Place.

Community Day is a fun a free event to build momentum for Rebuilding Hope. It offers a sneak preview of the RTMC playhouses, as well as a day of family-oriented fun. The plaza will host children’s activities for a day of celebration for all to enjoy. Community Day also coincides with in-store shopping days featuring special offers at participating retailers. A portion of the proceeds will support RTMC’s work to rebuild the homes of our county’s veterans, elderly and families with children. Highlights include:

  • A special RTMC Playhouse Review
  • A Children’s Coloring Station
  • Face Painting
