WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WORK ON MY PROPERTY IS FAULTY; DO YOU OFFER ANY WARRANTIES OR SATISFACTION ASSURANCES?
We make every effort to provide quality services to our clients. Because our work is provided at no cost, we are unable to provide warranties on services rendered. We include our homeowners in every step of the work scope and the home repair process. Upon completion of the project, homeowners are asked to complete satisfaction surveys. If there is a situation where a homeowner is dissatisfied with the work performed on his or her home, we will always collaborate with our homeowners to make it right and ensure a completed project based on the original scope of work.
RTMC addresses safe and healthy housing issues for low income residents. From time to time, we are able to address a variety of repairs in a home, but we are unable to provide emergency services to applicants. Additionally, we do not provide cosmetic improvements to a home.
HOW DO I FIND OUT WHAT KINDS OF PEOPLE YOU’LL SEND TO WORK ON MY PROPERTY; DO YOU PERFORM BACKGROUND CHECKS?
Most of our partner vendors have long-standing service histories with RTMC. Though we don’t perform background checks on all of their employees, RTMC requires that all partner vendors and labor suppliers provide a Certificate of Insurance that protects the work done in our clients’ homes. RTMC does not require background checks on each of its volunteers though we do accompany volunteers on each and every RTMC service project. RTMC does require background checks for all participants in our volunteer handyman program.
