What It Looks Like:

Rebuilding Together is circulating coupons for the In-Store Shopping Day at Bloomingdales – download your coupon here.

Take the coupon to the Chevy Chase Bloomingdales store on April 13th and purchase whatever you would normally get – make-up, bathing suits, wedding gifts, Mother’s Day presents, summer outfits, shoes, purses, watches, etc – it all counts!

Ask for a duplicate receipt – the cashier will most likely staple your coupon to  the receipt.

Take the duplicate receipt to either the Customer Service Desk (3rd floor) or a marked RTMC box near the store exits.

Sit back, relax, and feel proud that 10% of your purchase will be donated to Rebuilding Together by Bloomingdales! You get what you need, or treat yourself to something you definitely don’t need – and both you and RTMC will benefit!

2013 RT Honors Reception Sponsors

Many thanks to our generous sponsors!

The RT Honors Reception is an biennal event that affords Rebuilding Together Montgomery County the opportunity to say “thank you” to a champion who has separated him/herself from the pack through their leadership, dedication, and passion for Rebuilding Together. The event also offers an opportunity to network with old friends and meet new partners who care about the Montgomery County community, our neighborhoods, and our families in need.

This event would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors, and we encourage you to click on their logos, visit their websites, and learn more about their role in our community. We are all, each in our own way, working to make this county, and the greater DC metropolitan area, a wonderful place to call home.

Happy Birthday, Karen!

Karen Smith, a longtime volunteer for Rebuilding Together, both at the national level and with both Rebuilding Together DC and Rebuilding Together Montgomery County, is turning 60 on February 9th, and wants to share her birthday celebrations with us!

talk cropped - KSKaren is currently the Vice President of the Board of Directors for Rebuilding Together Montgomery County, an occupational therapist, and champion for both Rebuilding Together and safe and accessible housing. She’s been such an advocate for us, and now she’s once again turning her talents to fundraising!

group cropped - KSTo celebrate her birthday, Karen has set a goal to raise $1000 in support of home modifications – things designed to prevent falls, increase accessibility, and make activities of daily living easier for those who are struggling. What a wonderful legacy for Karen to leave for so many vulnerable families in need!

Won’t you help us celebrate with Karen by making a gift in her honor today?

It’s a Big Year for Kathy Thrower, our Program Manager, and you’re invited to help us Raise the Roof to her, and all of her successes!

In October 2012, Kathy celebrated her 60th birthday, and we are so proud to get to share that milestone with her. In January 2013, she will also celebrate her 10th anniversary working here at Rebuilding Together Montgomery County! We are so lucky to have her working alongside us every day to help our families in need!

In honor of those she serves every day, we invite you to recognize Kathy’s work through a personal gift today.

One area of particular concern for Kathy is the number of requests Rebuilding Together receives for roof repairs and replacements – both of which are incredibly expensive and can be outside the budget for Rebuilding Together Montgomery County.

So with that in mind, and help from you, we are going to all pitch in, celebrate Kathy, and hopefully Raise the Roof for a family in need. Our goal is one new roof – but there’s no reason to stop there, so get involved!! It will be a wonderful birthday present for Kathy, a fitting celebration of her 10 years at RTMC, and a significant help to someone struggling in our community.

Make a Gift Today in Honor of Kathy!

Your gift may be tax-deductible – please consult your financial advisor for more information
