Maryland Nonprofits Has Awarded RTMC with the Standards for Excellence Full Accreditation
After a rigorous application and review process, Maryland Nonprofits has awarded Rebuilding Together Montgomery County with the Standards for Excellence Full Accreditation. This Accreditation and Seal for Excellence demonstrates that RTMC has achieved the highest level of nonprofit ethics and accountability in all areas of management and governance, reviewed by both anonymous peers and Maryland Nonprofits staff. The third party review of RTMC’s policies, procedures, and practices also reinforce to our donors and partners that Rebuilding Together Montgomery County is committing the needed resources to expand capacity, manage infrastructure and advance its work across Montgomery County.
Christina Betancourt Johnson, RTMC executive director notes, “undergoing the Institute’s rigorous review process was no small feat. It allowed us to take a step back from the day to day operations and really identify the areas in which we’d grown and excelled. It also helped us identify areas of opportunity for the organization, which in my mind, is critical for mission advancement.”
